Effects of anticoagulants with Danshen on patency of Dacron microprostheses in animal experiments

چکیده
Although the development of microsurgery has improved resurfacing complicated wounds with various flaps, it also leads to some problems. The elevation of some flaps, such as forearm skin flaps and posterior tibial artery flaps, satisfies one of two main arteries that supply blood to the extremities. However, some patients feel cold on the distal part of their extremities after operation. The best way to resolve this problem is to reconstruct the excised arteries. In some surgical procedures, flaps lack enough pedicle length to reach the wound, and harvesting autogenous saphenous veins is required to extend the length of the pedicle. However, this procedure is time consuming and involves another donor incision. To solve the problems mentioned above, vascular prostheses can be used as a substitute for vessel segments. Although large diameter vascular prostheses have been used clinically for more than 30 years with satisfactory patency rates (1), difficulty arises when a small diameter graft is required because of the potential for it to be occluded. Whether a graft remains patent depends on the formation of neointima and the epithelialization on the luminal surface of the graft,

A contemporary meta-analysis of Dacron versus polytetrafluoroethylene grafts for femoropopliteal bypass grafting.
BACKGROUND The present study provides a contemporary and comprehensive summation of midterm patency rates of polyester (Dacron) or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) grafts in femoropopliteal bypass grafting based on a meta-analysis consisting only of randomized controlled trials. METHODS MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched to identify all randomi...
متن کاملDacron® vs. PTFE as bypass materials in peripheral vascular surgery – systematic review and meta-analysis
BACKGROUND In peripheral vascular bypass surgery different synthetic materials are available for bypass grafting. It is unclear which of the two commonly used materials, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or polyester (Dacron(R)) grafts, is to be preferred. Thus, the aim of this meta-analysis and systematic review was to compare the effectiveness of these two prosthetic bypass materials (Dacron and...
متن کاملThe Effect of Antiplatelet Drugs on the Patency Rate of Arterio-venous Fistulae in Hemodialysis Patients
Although arterialovenous fistulae (AVF) is considered to be vital for chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, but they may cause complications and problems. For instance they may fail soon after their creation. The most important cause of failure in these cases is intrafistula thrombus formation. Whereas anti-platelet drugs are not routinely used after fistulae creation, we conducted this stud...

OBJECTIVE To investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of Danshen Decoction on gastric ulcer in experimental animal models. METHODS The model of water immersion restraint stress ulcer in mice, and the models of acetic acid impaired gastric ulcer and pyloric ligation gastric ulcer in rats were established. The total gastric acid, the activity of pepsin and the amount of gastric wall b...

OBJECTIVES To investigate whether patency of a thin walled 8 mm fluoropassivated Dacron graft was similar to that of a standard 8mm PTFE graft for femorofemoral crossover bypass surgery. DESIGN A randomised multicentre clinical trial comparing two vascular grafts with participation of 10 departments of vascular surgery in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. PATIENTS AND METHODS 198 patients were ra...
